How to make Turmeric Tea
Option 1 - No brew: Add turmeric powder, ground dried ginger, black pepper, ghee/oil and lemon juice to a cup. Bring 1 cup water to a rolling boil in a pot or in a kettle and pour to the cup.
Stir well and cover. Let steep for 2 mins and serve. If you want you may add sweetener.
Option 2 in a saucepan: Mix together water, turmeric, ginger and black pepper in a small pot/pan. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium.
Simmer for 4 to 8 mins, depending on how strong you want the drink to be. Stir in the ghee or oil and strain to a cup.
You may stir in honey if you prefer but only in warm turmeric tea (not hot). If you want stir in some lemon juice or warm/ slightly hot orange juice. If you feel the tea is too strong for your taste, simply add more hot water (not cold) to dilute.
